After many years of playing together in various combinations, this new trio has has formed to realize its potential in a common theme… honesty. To say that the list of important artists these three have created with is impressive is an understatement. Those in the world wide community are well aware of their accomplishments over the decades.

Artists such as Paul Motion, Wadada Leo Smith, Anthony Braxton, Barry Altchul, Dave Douglas, Gary Peacock, Brenda Bufalino, Karl Berger, Ahmad Jamal and a host of others have had the good fortune to make a connection to these three.

Through many years of touring and recording, the members of this trio have left an indelible mark on the history of jazz and improvised music. Many reviews, awards and accolades have been bestowed on these members from the international music critics and writers. 

With the upcoming Sept 2018 release of “Dreamstruck” on the Not Two label, the trio of Sorgen-Fonda-Crispell have set their sites on a commitment to the music they have long been looking to realize.
